TEAM TALBOT

The Lauren K Talbot Foundation was established in 2005 shortly after Lauren passed on October 24, 2005 by Lauren's family (Mom - Joanne, Dad -Terry, Brothers - Sean, Andrew and Eric Talbot), with the support of family and friends, to honor Lauren's beautiful legacy of kindness and giving back to the community.  The LKT Foundation honors and awards graduating students of Council Rock School District or other school communities, or underserved schools, every year with a scholarship or grant, promoting further education and/or enhancing & enriching educational programs. Her loving family is dedicated to keeping Lauren's loving and giving spirit & legacy alive through the Foundation and yearly Powder Puff event.

 

Two of Lauren's friends, Felicia Pappas, and Kelsey Dumont, also students attending Council Rock HS North, came up with the idea of running an annual Powder Puff event in memory of Lauren, with the proceeds from Tshirt sales, raffles, silent auction items, & concessions all dedicated to the Lauren K Talbot Memorial Foundation. After Felicia and Kelsey graduated in 2007, they passed the reigns to organize the annual Powder Puff over to Joanne, Terry, Sean, Andrew, and Eric, along with the CRHS-North Student Executive Board (SEB) & SEB staff advisors; they wanted to keep the Powder Puff event going as a yearly fundraiser for the LaurenKT Foundation. Lauren's family, and countless number of friends have dedicated, and will continue to dedicate their love, energy, time, efforts to the yearly Powder Puff, and LaurenKT Foundation as it represents Lauren's passion for Fun, Friends, Love, Giving, and the Smiles and hugs she shared with family and friends.
